Randy Orton’s Private Chat With Je’Von Evans Revealed
Randy Orton has recently spoken about his multiple conversations with rising WWE star Je’Von Evans.
Evans, who broke onto the scene in NXT, has been called up to WWE’s main roster and is featured weekly on its flagship show, Raw.
He also most recently won a triple threat qualifying match and secured a spot in the Elimination Chamber match on Feb 28th.
His high-flying offense and in-ring athleticism have caught the eye of many backstage, and the star is slowly becoming a staple on Raw.
WWE Star Randy Orton, who is a wrestler with some of the most experience in the current roster, recently spoke on the Pat McAfee show about his chats with Evans.
The Apex Predator had some sound advice for Evans, telling him that despite all the incredible things he can do in the ring, he needs to choose when to do them and preserve his body for longevity.
The in-ring work that we talked about earlier, I make sure that everything I’m doing, there’s a reason that I’m doing it. I’m not just throwing myself around. I see young guys come up, and you know, they don’t hurt. Je’Von Evans, he is incredible. But I’ve had a couple of talks with him, because he’s doing so many things that nobody else can do. And he just – he doesn’t need to do them all every night.
Randy Orton Laughed Off Tom Brady’s “WWE Is Cute” Comment
NFL Legend Tom Brady had appeared on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast a while back and remarked on WWE, calling it “cute,” unlike real athletic sports like football.
Although Paul snapped back with his own defense of WWE immediately, Randy Orton has now weighed in on the matter. On the same Pat McAfee podcast, Randy Orton laughed it off and jokingly said that he would RKO the NFL legend.
He admitted that he would’ve been fuming had he heard this 15-20 years ago, but he is just having fun at this stage in his career.
Orton also detailed the spinal injuries he has had, making it clear that wrestling is hardly an easy job.
I’m just having fun at this stage in my career, man. Especially after the injuries and the spinal fusion. There’s no one on the roster — that I’m aware of anyway — that’s had a lower lumbar fusion, let alone a double fusion. So the fact that I’m doing [anything], like, every second I’m in that ring, I am soaking it up. I’ve been doing this longer than damn near anybody. Gosh, I feel so grateful to be around. So hearing him call it ‘cute,’ like, I’m having fun. Ten, 15, 20 years ago? I would have been hot. I would have had choice words to say for Tom Brady.
