WWE Has Considered Changes To Randy Orton’s Presentation

Randy Orton

A new report suggests that WWE wanted to alter the presentation of Randy Orton upon his return to the company.

Randy Orton has one of the most iconic songs in WWE called “Voices” by Rev Theory. That song debuted in 2008 and its lyrics are words that WWE fans can likely sing as soon as they hear the song.

“I hear voices in my head

They council to me

They understand

They talk to me”

The thought of Randy Orton appearing on WWE TV to something other than “Voices” seems like a strange idea, yet Fightful Select reports that it was discussed.

According to Fightful, WWE was considering a change or at least an adjustment to Orton’s theme song. A change to Orton’s song was apparently considered before the December 8th edition of Smackdown.

There was no change to Orton’s song because Fightful reports that “Orton and management talked over the potential change before the show, and it was ultimately shot down.” It was apparently not the new Rev Theory version of the song and that “no music off the top and limited lyrics.”

It was also added by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that WWE felt like Randy Orton needed to have his familiar song for his return at Survivor Series and the appearances that followed due to the familiarity of the song.

Randy Orton Has The Bloodline In His Sights

On the December 15th episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown in Green Bay, Randy Orton has been announced for a match against The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns of The Bloodline is also returning on SmackDown and it’s certainly possible that WWE could announce an Orton-Reigns match for the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE.

It was one week earlier on the December 8th episode of WWE SmackDown when Randy Orton & LA Knight teamed up to beat The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa in tag team action.
