Popular WWE Star Will Never Wrestle
A popular WWE woman doesn’t plan to have a match in the company.
Jackie Redmond is a backstage interviewer in WWE who brings credibility to the role, as that’s also her job working NHL games.
The 38-year-old Redmond is a Canadian who grew up watching pro wrestling and has been part of WWE since 2022, mostly working on the Raw brand, and doing pre-and-post PLE shows in a hosting role.
During a recent interview with Insight’s Chris Van Vliet, Redmond was asked whether she had any interest in competing in a WWE match.
“I mean, I don’t have any desire to be in a match or anything like that.”
Based on that response, it seems unlikely that Redmond will wrestle anytime soon.
Jackie Redmond Could Be In Storylines In A Different Era Of WWE
As the discussion between Van Vliet and Redmond continued, they discussed how, in a different era of WWE, she could be involved in storylines. Redmond admitted that she would be okay with that.
“I do wish that superstars yelled at me more. I’m not gonna lie, that’s not really a thing that we do anymore, but I want them in my face. I want them to be mean to me.
I actually really want that, please be a d**k, be a jerk to me. But it’s a different time, maybe one day. No, I don’t want to be in the ring, but I wouldn’t be opposed to slapping someone or taking a bump.”
Regarding the slap idea, Redmond actually did slap Sheamus prior to filming an interview with him, but she felt awkward doing it.
