NXT Announces Massive Grudge Match For Great American Bash

NXT Great American Bash is just around the corner, and General Manager Robert Stone is stacking up the card with some massive matches. The show is set to go head-to-head with AEWxNJPW’s Forbidden Door, which increases the stakes as well.

Last week confirmed that Tony D’Angelo would defend his NXT Championship against Naraku, while Lola Vice will be putting her title on the line against Kendal Grey. The fate of Myles Borne and his title was confirmed tonight.

Tavion Heights and Jackson Drake faced each other in a number one contender’s match, where Heights emerged victorious and will challenge his friend for the North American Title.

Huge rivalry to be settled at NXT Great American Bash

In addition to these three major championship clashes, a massive grudge match was confirmed for the show as well. Dion Lennox is set to take on former DarkState teammate Saquan Shugars at the show.

Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Cutler James turned on Shugars after he was unable to reclaim the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside Lennox from The Vanity Project.

The trio blamed Shugars for their shortcomings and kicked him out of the group. Since then, Shugars has been focused on taking his former friends out and took James out with a baseball bat.
