A current NJPW star is being sought by WWE, with the Triple H-led company offering them a deal according to a new report.

JONAH is currently part of the NJPW roster having previously competed in NXT as Bronson Reed. During his time on the then-black and gold brand, the Australian star captured the North American Championship but was released from the company in August 2021 by the previous management under Vince McMahon.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that JONAH has big decisions to make regarding his future in the wrestling business:

“He’s got an offer from WWE so he’s gotta make a decision, WWE or New Japan. He got a great push in New Japan, it’s gonna be his call.”

“Actually he will probably do much better in New Japan than in WWE but there is a big difference in money or potential money. They’re completely different lifestyles, I know a lot of guys would choose WWE and a lot of guys would choose New Japan given similar circumstances so I don’t know which one he would choose. The one thing with New Japan is he’s going to get a really big push there eventually, we’ve already seen that. He’s gonna be protected and he’s gonna get over because he did get over, we’ve already seen that.”

“Whereas in WWE on the main roster, you just don’t know. But main roster WWE, even bottom number is a quarter million and that’s bottom and obviously top is millions if you make it to the top.”

Meltzer also noted that another former NXT star is set for a return to WWE, with it considered a “done deal” within the company.
