As the speculation continues to intensify, there’s been one of the biggest hints yet that Sasha Banks is indeed set to appear at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom.

The highlight of the Japanese wrestling calendar, there’s plenty already confirmed for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom this year, with the co-main events set to be Will Ospreay defending the IWGP United States Championship against former title holder Kenny Omega, and Jay White putting the IWGP World Championship on the line against ‘The Rainmaker’ Kazuchika Okada.

However, the rumors have built and built over the last month that Sasha Banks is set for a return to wrestling at the event. There are plenty of reports that a deal has been signed and that ‘The Boss’ has already flown to Japan, and now the CEO of NJPW’s parent company has dropped one of the biggest hints yet.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Bushiroad head honcho Takaaki Kidani commented on the reports by simply saying “There is a possibility that she will come to the Dome”. Given the likelihood he wouldn’t comment if it wasn’t true, it’s a strong sign that Sasha Banks will be part of Wrestle Kingdom.

Sasha Banks and Naomi have not appeared on WWE programming since walking out before the 16th May episode of Monday Night Raw, where they also reportedly handed their Women’s Tag Team Championships to John Laurinaitis before leaving the building. They were later stripped of their titles, and neither have appeared on WWE or any other wrestling programming since, although there has recently also been rumors that Banks could be on her way to AEW.
