Nick Khan Attempting To Change WWE Culture

World Wrestling Entertainment President Nick Khan is doing everything he can to change the culture around the company.

As a business, World Wrestling Entertainment is thriving after Endeavor acquired the company in 2023 to form the TKO Group, television shows are sold out regularly, they are filling up stadiums around the world for PLE events and the $5 billion Netflix deal was historically large as well.

However, the company also has a dark cloud hanging over it due to former Executive Chairman Vince McMahon’s misbehavior. Former WWE employee Janel Grant has accused Vince McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a bombshell lawsuit. The lawsuit, which included former Head of Talent Relations John Lauriniatis, featured disgusting allegations made against McMahon and depraved text messages allegedly sent by the former WWE CEO & Chairman.

In addition to McMahon and Laurinaitis, there are questions about what other key WWE people knew about what McMahon was allegedly doing to Grant. A recent report Front Office Sports revealed that the corporate officers named in the lawsuit are WWE President Nick Khan and WWE COO Brad Blum.

Former Interim WWE Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon was also confirmed as a third corporate officer, but the details of what she knew remain unclear. Stephanie resigned from WWE in early 2023 when her father Vince unretired.

After the report was released by Front Office Sports, WWE released this statement.

WWE takes Ms. Grant’s allegations very seriously and has no tolerance for any physical abuse or unwanted physical contact.

Neither Nick Khan nor Brad Blum, prior to the lawsuit being filed on January 25, 2024, were aware of any allegation by Ms. Grant that she was the victim of abuse or unwanted physical contact; nor does the complaint allege that either had knowledge of such.

How Did WWE React To Corporate Officers Nick Khan & Brad Blum Being Named?

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer was told that current WWE President Nick Khan continues to work on changing the culture surrounding WWE as a company.

”Sources at WWE did not comment regarding this story (the names of the ‘Corporate Officers’ in the lawsuit being revealed) officially or unofficially, past one simply saying they were aware of this and mentions that Khan is working on steps to change the culture.”

As WrestleMania 40 approaches in three weeks, Nick Khan may be doing some interviews to promote the show and it’s not known if he will address this lawsuit in any way.
