Rumors regarding Nick Aldis’ WWE departure have been put to rest.

Nick Aldis joined WWE in August 2023 as a backstage producer. Two months later, in October, he was appointed as the on-screen General Manager for the SmackDown brand.

There is an ongoing rumor on the internet that Nick Aldis is going to leave WWE and step down from his role as the on-screen SmackDown General Manager. However, these rumors are false.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently debunked the rumor with a post on X (Twitter), confirming that Nick Aldis is not going anywhere. Sapp reported that Aldis is very popular within WWE for his role on SmackDown.

Sapp tweeted, “No insiders have heard this. Aldis continues to be very popular within WWE for his work on Smackdown”

The rumor about Nick Aldis’ departure from WWE gained traction after a user on X claimed that Teddy Long would return to WWE as the General Manager of SmackDown following the brand’s return to a two-hour format.

Teddy Long Is Not Returning To Replace Nick Aldis In WWE

Speaking of Teddy Long, the rumors about his return to WWE are also false. The WWE legend recently addressed the rumors on Road Trip After Hours with Mac Davis, where he confirmed that WWE has not contacted him about returning to the company. He confirmed that a WWE return is not going to happen.

Have no idea. I know nothing about it. WWE has not contacted me, called me, or anything. I don’t know… whoever started that, I appreciate you thinking about me, playa. I just start laughing because I know that ain’t going to happen. It’s not like it used to be. There ain’t no live events, much now anyways, so I wouldn’t be on the road, just do TV. But I’m at home, I sleep in my own bed almost every night.

I love going out and doing the signings. I was in Vegas for Wrestle Con. I’ll be in Minneapolis for Summerslam. I’ll be there for the signings. I just enjoy doing those, man. And getting on the plane and going home. I’m not one of these guys that don’t know when to take the cape off. I know when to take the cape off. I had a great run. Thanks to God and Vince McMahon. I ain’t bitter about a thing. That ain’t gonna happen, they ain’t calling me.
