New Challenger For Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Title Emerges On Tonight’s Show
The NXT Champion is the most coveted prize on the black and silver brand, and multiple wrestlers are vying for the belt at any given point in time. With the landscape in NXT changing constantly, new challengers keep emerging on the brand.
After the recent wave of call-ups to the main roster, which saw major stars of the promotion like Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Joe Hendry leave room for the younger and newer stars to step up.
To fill the gap left by these stars, multiple new wrestlers debuted on the black and silver brand last week, with one of them directly putting the champion on notice tonight.
Major WWE NXT debut set to take place next week
Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, EVIL, made his debut in the Stamford-based promotion last week as he stepped up to Tony D’Angelo in the ring. Tonight, he cut a promo during a video segment where he announced his intentions.
He warned D’Angleo as he stated that he would be coming after the NXT Championship and announced his new moniker in the promotion, revealing his name to be Naraku in the promotion.
Naraku stated that Tony holds the title that he wants in the promotion and put the champion on notice before revealing that he is set to make his in-ring debut in the promotion next week.
