Motive Behind Drew McIntyre’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Attack Revealed
Drew McIntyre has revealed the motive behind his attack on Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
After a few months of absence, Jacob Fatu returned on SmackDown to interfere in Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre’s Three Stages of Hell Undisputed WWE Championship match. His interference ultimately cost The American Nightmare the title.
Over the next few weeks, Rhodes and Fatu entered a feud as the former Undisputed WWE Champion promised The Samoan Werewolf a receipt.
As the two superstars were scheduled to square off tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the match never officially started after Fatu attacked Rhodes during his entrance.
The American Nightmare and his rival then brawled all over the arena before Drew McIntyre made a surprising appearance to take both of them out.
Drew McIntyre Puts All WWE Superstars On Notice At Saturday Night’s Main Event
Following his attack on Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu, the Undisputed WWE Champion was interviewed by Cathy Kelley backstage. The Scottish Warrior was asked to explain his actions.
The 40-year-old put the WWE roster on notice, stating that he will do the same to anybody who runs their mouths or comes near him or his title.
An explaination? That was a statement to everybody on the roster. You wanna run your mouths or come near me or this title, that’s exactly what’s gonna happen to you.
"That was a statement to EVERYBODY on the roster."
