MJF Boosts AEW Dynamite Ratings

MJF cuts a promo on AEW Dynamite

MJF gave AEW Dynamite a welcome boost.

The June 5th episode of AEW Dynamite featured MJF’s long-awaited return to the show after his headline-grabbing comeback at Double or Nothing. After quickly dispatching Adam Cole and declaring his love for the AEW cause at the pay-per-view, the former World Champion arrived on Dynamite with a warning.

The star took aim at several of the company’s biggest stars before being confronted by Rush, who was less than impressed at not being given a big welcome for his own return. The pair traded insults and Rush decided it was time to trade punches, but they were pulled apart by Christopher Daniels and security.

It’s now been revealed that Dynamite pulled in 790,000 viewers, which is an increase of 0.4% on the previous week, and the highest total audience since April 10th. Meanwhile, the show averaged a 0.28 rating in the highly-prized 18-49-year-old demographic, an increase of 12% on May 29th.

Compared to the same week in 2023, Dynamite’s total viewership was down 12.5%, making the 29th straight week this has occurred.

MJF Confirms Interest From WWE

In an interview ahead of his return to AEW’s flagship show, MJF confirmed there was interest from WWE when he signed his current contract, but declined to offer details. Although exactly when he signed that deal and how long it’s for remain a mystery, it made the star one of the highest-paid wrestlers in AEW.

During the same interview, the Salt of the Earth described Cody Rhodes as a mentor but said he’s the biggest star in the industry today.
