MJF isn’t afraid to speak his mind, and he recently made a serious accusation against WWE President Nick Khan.

Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer has claimed that high-level WWE executives have been actively telling talent and internal staff that AEW will not secure a viable television renewal or remain part of the newly merged Paramount/Skydance media landscape.

Meltzer noted that this kind of messaging is a common corporate tactic used by WWE. According to Meltzer, the purpose is to discourage WWE talent from considering a move to AEW by making them believe the rival promotion may not remain financially stable or even survive in the coming years.

Dave Meltzer also expressed skepticism about WWE’s internal narrative, calling it the “usual bulls**t.” He pointed out that WWE pushed similar negative claims during AEW’s previous television rights negotiations, yet AEW ultimately secured a massive 2.3x increase in its media rights deal.

MJF Claims Nick Khan Is Trying To Sabotage AEW’s Future Media Rights Leverage

MJF reacted to Meltzer’s report on SHAK Wrestling and publicly accused Nick Khan of deliberately orchestrating the leaks. MJF claimed that the media rights narrative was WWE’s attempt to hurt AEW’s leverage.

“That’s f**king news to me, bro. That’s news to me, that’s news to everybody on the roster. That’s da** sure news to Tony Khan. Last time I checked, they’re f**king over the moon with us right now.”

“I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a million times, I love Jolly Old Saint Nick, and I love the tricks he’s pulling out. This is being leaked intentionally to hurt the company that is the alternative. It’d be like if Coke out of the blue was like, hey, I don’t know if you guys knew about this, but Pepsi has a** water in it.”

AEW’s current media rights deal with WBD is set to run through 2027, featuring an exclusive option for a fourth year in 2028.
