Mercedes Mone’s Ex-Rival Suffers Defeat In Huge AEW Title Match On Dynamite
The go-home episode of Dynamite for AEW Revolution had two major championship bouts scheduled for the night, one each for the men’s and women’s divisions.
The first title match of the night saw Kyle Fletcher barely retain his TNT Championship against SpeedBall Mike Bailey, as he needed help from the Don Callis Family to see off the former Trios Champion.
On the women’s side of things, Willow Nightingale put her TBS Championship on the line against the CMLL World Women’s Champion, Persephone, who won the belt by defeating Mercedes Mone at La Noche de las Amazonas last Friday.
Willow Nightingale is still an AEW Champion in the promotion
The two powerhouses wrestled an extremely hard-hitting match against each other as both women looked to leave the show as the TBS Champion. Persephone dominated the match in the beginning before Willow tried to make her way back into the fight.
Their bout remained evenly balanced at the halfway point in the match, with both women exchanging hard blows with one another. The CMLL Women’s Champion had the match won before being outfoxed by Willow Nightingale.

She took Nightingale into the corner and looked to hit her with a sunset flip powerbomb from the top turnbuckle, but Willow held onto the ropes. Persephone then lifted her in position for a Crucifix Bomb, but Willow got out of the predicament at the right time and performed a backslide pin to retain the title.
