Mercedes Moné has two talented women’s wrestlers in mind to be part of a faction and those two women happen to be twins.

This past Sunday at the STARDOM All-Star Grand Queendom event in Tokyo, Mercedes Moné lost the IWGP Women’s Championship to Mayu Iwatani. After getting out of the Mone Maker submission move, Mayu hit a Tombstone Piledriver and a two-step Dragon Suplex for the pinfall win.

During her entrance, Mercedes dressed as the Black Tiger, which is a tribute to what her idol Eddie Guerero wore when he wrestled in Japan in the 1990s.

After the match, Mercedes Moné did a promo saying she loved being the CEO of STARDOM. Mercedes said that Mayu showed Mercedes that she is the true icon of STARDOM pro wrestling. Mercedes told Mayu to take care of that championship. They also bowed and hugged after the match.

Even though she lost the IWGP Women’s Title, Mercedes Moné isn’t going anywhere. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Mercedes and Bushiroad agreed to an extension on her current NJPW/STARDOM contract.

It was later confirmed by Mercedes herself that her next NJPW appearance will be at the May 21st event in Long Beach, California called Resurgence.

On Twitter, Mercedes Moné tweeted about possibly starting a stable or faction in Stardom and did a quote tweet with a phot of The Renegade Twins. Mercedes wrote: “Perfect for my stardom faction.”

The Renegade Twins are Charlette & Robyn Renegade, a tag team that has only been wrestling for about three years. They have appeared on AEW TV numerous times and are former NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Whether Mercedes Moné is serious regarding The Renegade Twins potentially being in the Mercedes faction in Stardom is unknown right now, but it’s something that fans could see develop when Mercedes appears at future NJPW/Stardom events in the months ahead.
