Matt Riddle Confirmed For Major Promotion After WWE Firing

Matt Riddle in the ring in WWE

Matt Riddle’s first appearance since being fired from WWE has been announced.

Matt Riddle was fired from WWE on September 22nd after the star claimed he had been sexually assaulted by a police officer at JFK Airport. However, it was later reported that Riddle had been removed from his flight for disorderly conduct.

With the no-compete clause of his WWE contract having now expired, Riddle is free to wrestle in other companies and the Original Bro has wasted no time in making his return to the ring.

Major League Wrestling announced on social media that Riddle has signed with the promotion and revealed that the star’s first match will take place at their King’s Of Colosseum in Philadelphia on January 6th, 2024.

Riddle had a brief run in MLW from December 2017 to the following April and took part in a tournament for their World Heavyweight Championship. The final of the tournament saw him lose to Swerve Strickland and proved to be his last match for the company until now.

Randy Orton Pays Tribute to Matt Riddle

Randy Orton has given props to his former RKBro partner Matt Riddle. The Viper returned to action at Survivor Series 2023 after 18 months on the shelf with a serious back injury. His last match before his hiatus saw he and Riddle losing the Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos.

According to Orton, Riddle took the brunt of the physicality during their run as a team, allowing Orton to minimize the time he was in the ring while he was dealing with pain in his back.
