Major WWE Feud Ends as Former Champion Reclaims His Mask On SmackDown

WWE SmackDown had some amazing segments lined up for tonight’s show as it built up to tomorrow night’s Royal Rumble event. The show saw Carmelo Hayes retain his United States Championship once again.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Vaquer cost the Judgment Day once again during their match tonight. Another huge grudge match was announced for tonight’s show, as Johnny Gargano faced Axiom.

However, before heading out for the match, Nick Aldis barred Candice LeRae from ringside and told Gargano that if he lost the game, Axiom would regain the mask that Gargano stole from him.

Axiom picks up a huge win on WWE SmackDown

For weeks, Gargano has been traumatizing Axiom with the mask that he stole from him during a match some weeks back. He got hold of the mask last week, but it was stolen from him once again.

Axiom dominated tonight’s match but got distracted when he saw his old mask. Gargano took advantage and unmasked him once again, but Axiom used his old mask to his advantage.

He put that on to defeat Gargano once and for all, and got hold of both of his masks in the process. With this feud now seemingly ended on the blue brand, it remains to be seen what’s next for Johnny Gargano in WWE.
