Major DarkState Star Kicked Out Of WWE Group Following Huge NXT Loss Tonight

WWE NXT tonight featured some exciting moments and a couple of major announcements on the show, but no one saw coming what transpired right at the end of the show.

Tonight’s episode featured a couple of title matches, including The Vanity Project’s defense of the NXT Tag Team Championships. They took on the team that they defeated to win the belts in the first place, DarkState.

However, there was a slight twist in the tail as instead of Osiris Griffin and Saquon Shugars challenging for the belts, Griffin and Cutler James decided it would be Shugars and Dion Lennox teaming to win back the titles.

DarkState has only three members on WWE NXT now

Both these men hadn’t been seeing eye-to-eye on things for the last few weeks, and this was Griffin and James’ way of getting them back on the same track. They warned both of them that things would have to change if they failed to win the WWE NXT belts.

Dion and Shugars gave it their all to bring the titles back to the group, but fell short after Saquon got trapped in a surprise roll-up. Following this defeat, Griffin and Cutler surrounded Lennox in the ring.

It looked like they were about to attack the leader of the group, but they instead chose to take Shugars out, leaving Dion confused for a little bit. He then joined in the attack on his former tag team partner, as they blamed Shugars for the shortcomings. They kicked him out of the group and sealed it by putting him through the announce table with a Triple Powerbomb.
