Major Concern About Sol Ruca Raised Backstage Before WWE Clash In Italy
Some members of the WWE Creative team had doubts about Sol Ruca ahead of Clash in Italy.
Ruca was promoted to the main roster following this year’s WrestleMania. Her first match on RAW ended in defeat against the Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan.
Nearly three weeks later, the former NXT Women’s North American competed in her second match on the main roster against IYO SKY on RAW. Surprisingly, Ruca suffered another loss.
Ruca’s third match came at Saturday Night’s Main Event against Becky Lynch. It ended in her victory via disqualification after The Man pulled referee Jessika Carr into harm’s way as her opponent attempted to hit her with a Sol Snatcher.
After launching a post-match attack on Ruca, Lynch was informed that she would defend her title against the 26-year-old tonight at Clash in Italy.
A recent report from Fightful Select revealed a surprise about how the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match at Clash in Italy came about.
It claimed that there was internal discussions about Sol Ruca receiving a title match despite not scoring a single pinfall since her arrival to the main roster, but the match was booked nevertheless.
Sol Ruca Is Ready For WWE Clash In Italy
Following Saturday Night’s Main Event, reports claimed Sol Ruca had suffered a legitimate injury, raising doubts over her availability for Clash in Italy.
Becky Lynch also took to X to address her rival’s injury, claiming Ruca was not medically cleared ahead of the premium live event.
I told Sol Puka (cause she makes me want to puke!!!!!) she wasn’t ready to step in the ring with me and she didn’t listen!!!!! I hope she make it to Italy although she’s not medically cleared! Some people think it’s because she LOST HER MIND!
Nevertheless, Ruca appears ready for the match. Speaking with Denise Salcedo in Turin ahead of Clash in Italy, she expressed her excitement about the opportunity and revealed that she is looking forward to becoming the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
