Long-Absent AEW Star Re-Signed Last Year, Will Be In London For All In

Tony Khan stands with AEW roster

Anthony Ogogo will be remaining with All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future.

As reported by Fightful Select, Ogogo is healthy and available to compete and re-signed with the company at the start of the year, remaining on a full-time contract. Fightful notes that this is a two-year extension, meaning that he will remain All Elite until 2025.

The former boxer last appeared on AEW TV in August 2022, knocking out Luke Kurtis on an episode of Dark in under a minute. Ogogo has made multiple appearances for independent promotions since his last match over a year ago.

With the British star being available for All In but not announced for the show, Ogogo could potentially make a surprise appearance in one of the matches. Figthful does note that Ogogo is in London for media appearances ahead of the landmark pay-per-view.

Anthony Ogogo Previously Faced Cody Rhodes In AEW

The British wrestler’s only pay-per-view match to date took place at the Double or Nothing event in 2021, where Ogogo would take on Cody Rhodes following a series of squash victories on Dynamite beforehand. In a questionable booking decision at the time, Rhodes would defeat Ogogo in what is the former Olympian’s defeat in AEW, having won 21 matches in his time with the promotion.

To give the match against The American Nightmare a big fight feel, both competitors would take part in a weigh-in segment beforehand. Ogogo does not have fond memories of this segment, blasting it for the way it was booked beforehand and what happened in the ring.
