Lola Vice’s Next Challenger Remains Unclear After Heated WWE NXT Confrontation
A massive night of action was scheduled for WWE NXT tonight, with multiple title matches set for the show. In addition to championship gold being defended, the show featured some huge grudge matches as well.
The brewing rivalry between Zaria and Lizzy Rain took another step tonight as the Australian defeated Rain in the opening match and earned herself a shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
On the other side of the women’s division, multiple challengers are lining up for Lola Vice and her NXT Women’s Championship. Vice is enjoying a solid run as the champion since winning the belt from Jacy Jayne.
She came out to the ring tonight and spoke about her time as one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion and the reigning NXT Women’s Champion. Lola claimed that she’s looking for new challengers to step up to her.
The NXT Women’s Championship picture is getting crowded
The champion was then interrupted by her former rival, Kelani Jordan. The former TNA Knockouts Champion brought up her past victories over Vice, Wren Sinclair, and Kendal Grey to make her case as the next challenger.
Shortly after that, though, Grey and Sinclair came to the ring, and Kendal listed reasons as to why she should be the next to challenge Lola. The confrontation between the three women got heated before Kelani tried to snatch Lola’s belt from her.
Kelani unstrapped Lola’s NXT Title, leading the champion to hit her with the Spinning Backfist, but instead hit Kendal Grey before Kelani walked off, leaving the rest standing confused in the ring.
