Zaria Secures Huge NXT Women’s Title Opportunity After Dominant Victory

As the WWE main roster continues on its European tour, NXT continues the action in the United States of America as tonight’s episode of the Black-and-Silver brand promises a lot of excitement.

The show is scheduled to feature two title matches tonight, with both the NXT Championship and the WWE Speed Championship on the line. Tony D’Angelo will defend his title against Kam Hendrix, while Lexis King defends the Speed Title against Romeo Moreno.

Before the fans were treated to these huge championship matches, they witnessed another brewing rivalry take its next step as the first match of the night saw Zaria take on Lizzy Rain.

Both women are in pursuit of the NXT Women’s North American Championship, leading to the animosity between them. The match was off to a fast start as Lizzy tried to catch Zaria by surprise by using her agility and speed.

Zaria picks up a huge win on WWE NXT tonight

She gained the upper hand in the early stages of the match, but Zaria took control with a massive Pump Kick to Rain. She then used her superior size to her advantage and began ragdolling the English wrestler.

As the action continued, the Women’s NA Champion, Tatum Paxley, who is friends with Rain, made her way to the ringside. Zaria had dominated for much of the match after taking control, and even took her out with a massive Spear as she tried to mount a comeback.

Rain looked to get the win and hit a cutter and a Samoan Drop on Zaria, but the Australian ultimately picked up the win after reversing a Springboard attack into a German Suplex. She followed that up with a Spear and F5 to get the win.

Following her match, she looked to hit another F5 on Rain before Paxley came to the ring and stopped her from delivering it. She promised Zaria a shot at the NA Championship next week, setting up a huge clash for herself.
