LA Knight Reacts To People Comparing Him To WWE Legends

LA Knight is happy to be compared to WWE greats but wants to be “bigger and better”.

Knight is a hot favorite to win Saturday’s Money In The Bank Men’s Ladder Match, giving him the opportunity to cash in on any WWE Champion at the moment of his choosing.

Over the last few months, fan support for Knight has continued to grow during his recent battles with the LWO.

With his “Let Me Talk To Ya” and “Yeah” catchphrases strongly over, many fans are predicting LA Knight will leave London with the briefcase.

Thanks to his on-screen charisma and catchy promos, Knight has begun to be compared to two of WWE’s biggest-ever names, Steve Austin and The Rock.

The Megastar was appearing on The Ringer Wrestling Show: Cheap Heat to promote the upcoming Premium Live Event and responded to the comparisons being made between him and WWE Legends.

If you want to make that comparison, cool. My aim is to be bigger and better than either of them. I bring a very different package to the table than they do. At the same time, are there similarities? Sure there are you. There is Kobe (Bryan) to (Michael) Jordan, those kind of comparisons. If you want to make me the Kobe to their Jordan, I’ll take it,”

Knight was asked who he sees as the Michael Jordan of Professional Wrestling and the former Million Dollar Champion feels it’s a tie between four names.

“There is a four-way tie. (Hulk) Hogan started it all for me. Even Hollywood and the NWO, good stuff. Him, (Ric) Flair, Austin, Rock, I could not pick a top.”

After joining WWE in 2021 Knight worked in NXT before being called up to the main roster last year under the name Max Dupri.

Dupri was soon changed back to LA Knight and despite losing to Bray Wyatt at this year’s Royal Rumble, his stock has continued to grow.

LA Knight has a great record in ladder matches, winning matches in both Impact and NXT, and will be looking to use that experience to outlast Logan Paul, Damian Priest, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Santos Escobar and the Englishman Butch.

Should LA Knight succeed in London, he would have one whole year to make a move on any Champion in the company, and recently gave everyone notice.

Knight is in hot form after defeating Rey Mysterio on last Friday’s Smackdown and will be heading into London looking to stay unbeaten in WWE-based ladder matches.
