A lot of WWE fans may not be that excited about Brock Lesnar facing Omos at WrestleMania 39, but Kurt Angle truly believes it is a great idea.

WrestleMania 39 is just about three weeks away with several big matches set to take place. Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair puts the Smackdown Women’s Title on the line against Rhea Ripley, John Cena is back in action against Austin Theory and plenty one more.

Another match that is already official is Brock Lesnar facing the Omos, who is the largest man in WWE at 7’3″ and over 400 pounds. Brock Lesnar is a former 10-time WWE World Champion that has been a main event level performer going back 20 years to his first WrestleMania and Lesnar main evented last year’s WrestleMania as well.

As for Omos, he is still relatively new in WWE as a 28-year-old that only started wrestling three years ago after WWE scouted him. Omos is 28 years old and still learning a lot in WWE while he is paired with MVP, who is a very effective manager.

The Brock Lesnar-Omos match isn’t what WWE originally had planned because they wanted Lesnar to face Wyatt. However, Lesnar was against Wyatt possibly due to the uniqueness of the Wyatt character being a lot

Kurt Angle is a man that knows Lesnar well since they wrestled many times including the WrestleMania 19 main event along with many other big matches. On his Kurt Angle Show podcast recently, Kurt was asked about the Lesnar-Omos match with the WWE Hall of Famer explaining that it’s great for Brock to work with a younger talent.

“I think it’s a great idea. You have to remember Brock is near the end of his career, and Omos is near the beginning of his career. Brock’s always been these main event matches with all the top guys.”

“I think now he’s at the point in his career where he has to start giving back and not being at these top-level matches for World Championships but trying to build other talent, and I think it’s a great idea.”

There was also a Brock Lesnar story recently noting that “The Beast” told people in WWE that he was “finishing up” although it doesn’t necessarily mean that the 45-year-old is set to retire soon.

Lesnar and Omos are scheduled for a face-to-face showdown this coming Monday, March 13th on Raw.
