Carmelo Hayes’ Fiancée Kelani Jordan Breaks Silence On Getting Knocked Out
Going into her underground match against Lola Vice at NXT Vengeance Day, Kelani Jordan had all the confidence in the world.
Earlier in the week, Jordan was shown being trained by MMA veteran Shayna Baszler.
Additionally, over the last several weeks, the 27-year-old had been targeting Vice’s dominant hand to such an extent that her doctor claimed it may become permanently inoperational if it sustained more severe impacts.
Nonetheless, Vice decided to sign the papers that cleared the doctor of any liability.
On Lola Vice’s part, she went into the Underground Match with a 3-0 stellar record.
At Vengeance Day, Kelani Jordan again targeted her opponent’s injured fist by hitting it against the ring post and kicking or stomping on it at every opportunity she got.
In the closing minutes, Jordan verbally engaged with Vice’s family, that was sat by the ringside, thus getting distracted. It took Lola just a single backfist, and she followed it up with a couple of hammerfists for the referee to step in and award her the win.
Kelani Jordan Addresses Vengeance Day Loss
Kelani Jordan’s rivalry with Lola Vice stems from several months ago, when she was kicked out of the women’s locker room on NXT for captaining the women of TNA at Showdown in October despite being a talent on WWE’s developmental brand.
Possessing an athletic background, Jordan was confident about her approach in the Undergroud Match despite acknowledging how lethal Vice had been in her previous matches.
Following her loss, Jordan, who is engaged to WWE United States Champion Carmelo Hayes, took to X to share her thoughts about her recent defeat.
Tonight I was completely out of my element but gave it my all. Not the result I wanted and even though I got knocked down I still showed up and stood out. #NXTVengenceDay#TheStandOutpic.twitter.com/aFp4XBvIdc
