Kairi Sane Breaks Silence After Shock WWE Return

Kairi Sane IYO SKY WWE Crown Jewel

Kairi Sane stunned the WWE when she made her return to the company after a three-year absence at Crown Jewel.

At Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Bianca Belair challenged IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship but the outcome left more questions than answers.

With Belair on the outside of the ring about to drop SKY’s Damage CTRL partner Bayley with the KOD and IYO SKY distracting the referee, former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane made her shock return to the company.

Sane saved Bayley and took out Belair on the outside of the ring which almost caused a countout loss. However, Bianca Belair was able to roll back into the ring but was nailed immediately by SKY’s impressive moonsault which gave the champion the win.

As Sane and IYO SKY celebrated in the ring, SKY’s Damage CTRL partner Bayley looked on in shock raising questions about the future of that group. Fans were reminded by Michael Cole on commentary that it was Bayley who attacked Kairi Sane back in 2020 which led to the Japanese star leaving the company.

Kairi Sane Comments On WWE Return

Kairi Sane took to social media after making a splash on her return to the company, simply writing: “I’m back.” IYO SKY responded to her friend, welcoming her back while sharing a picture of the two of them together backstage.

During her time away from WWE, Sane became the first-ever IWGP Women’s Champion by defeating Mayu Iwatani in a tournament final for the gold in November 2022. Kairi Sane lost that title just three months later to Mercedes Mone.
