Big Revelation After AEW Star Breaks The Internet With Cryptic Post
The internet was abuzz a couple of days ago, thanks to a cryptic social media post by an AEW Original.
Sammy Guevara, whose television appearances have declined over time, took to X and posted a tweet that simply read “new bio.”
Fans noticed that his profile did not carry any mention of AEW, drawing speculation about his contract status with the company.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez claimed that the rumor started because someone online made the wrong assumption.
Alvarez said that Guevara never had All Elite Wrestling in his profile. He further clarified that he was very much a part of the promotion and his contract had not expired.
As it turns out, his contract is not expired. He has not been released. Nothing has changed. I was told that AEW had never been in his bio, so when he said ‘new bio’ and people looked at his bio and saw that it had been removed, it actually had never been there in the first place… I just know for sure his contract has not expired. He has not been released and apparently nothing has changed… I did hear from people who should probably know and they said nothing has changed.”
Kenny Omega Attacked By Title Challenger Ahead Of AEW Redemption
On last week’s Dynamite, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega was confronted by TNT Champion Kevin Knight, who demanded a title shot after former champion MJF constantly dodged him.
After exchanging words, Omega granted him the title shot but was taken out by Knight after he struck the Canadian veteran wrestler with the microphone to the forehead.
On the July 22 edition of Dynamite, Omega teamed up with Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley to face the Don Callis Family’s Hechicero, Jack Doyle, and Brian Cage.
In the final minutes of the bout, Kenny inadvertently struck Moxley with a high knee that was meant for Hechicero. After winning the match, Omega tried to reason with Moxley, only to be shoved by the leader of the Death Riders.
Ospreay tried to play the peacemaker between them but got caught in the middle after other members of the Family came out to attack them.
As Moxley and Ospreay dealt with some of them outside the ring, Omega neutralized Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero. Just as he prepared to hit them with a V Trigger, Knight popped up suddenly, striking him with his TNT Championship.
AEW Redemption is scheduled to take place on July 26 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
