Johnny Gargano Had Surprising Inspiration For Elimination Chamber Gear

Seth Rollins & Johnny Gargano - WWE Elimination Chamber 2023

Johnny Gargano had a very different – and completely understandable – reason for his ring attire at Elimination Chamber.

After Triple H took over the WWE creative team last summer, Johnny Gargano returned to the company in August 2022 after letting his WWE contract expire in December 2021. A popular character, he qualified for this past weekend’s Elimination Chamber but was unsuccessful as he was eliminated by Damian Priest.

On a number of occasions, Johnny Wrestling has been known to have special ring attire created for events, often based on Marvel characters. However, for Elimination Chamber, he had something else on his mind.

In a post on social media, Johnny Gargano explained that his gear was based on children’s television character Bluey, and was in tribute to the fact that it was his son’s first birthday that week and he hadn’t been able to be with him the whole time due to his wrestling schedule.

is called Elimination Chamber! I couldn’t be there for all of his first birthday Friday.. so I wanted to rep my little dude this weekend in Montreal in the big match. Quill-Featherwand! “Superkick leg HEAVY!”

Gargano’s son has already been welcomed in to the WWE Universe, and has even already had her iconic point photo taken with Triple H.
