John Cena Makes Major Promise To WWE Fans Ahead Of Retirement
John Cena will defend his title at SummerSlam in August.
Currently, he is busy promoting his latest movie, Heads of State, which has Hollywood star Idris Alba starring alongside him.
The 17-time world champion has been appearing on morning shows and other media events with his acting peers.
Cena had announced 2025 as his final year of wrestling and is on a retirement tour, committing to around 36 appearances. He now has 15 dates remaining.
The Franchise Player, who now wrestles as a heel, has been talking to fans, delivering scathing promos, and even dropping a pipebomb of his own.
With six months remaining before he bids adieu to wrestling, he’s been discussing his run so far and his plans for life after wrestling.
During one of the recent premieres, John Cena spoke to That Grape Juice, promising fans about giving his all.
It’s my final time. I’m done in December. I think the one common thread you’ll find in me for 25 years is I will give you my absolute best. So, regardless of what the TV shows dole out and how we try to entertain audiences, I will leave nothing on the cam. I will leave everything on the cam. [1:25 onward]
John Cena Has No Plans To Enter American Politics
John Cena plays the United States President in Heads of State.
In an interview with This Morning, he said that he was fine with portraying the president on the silver screen, but not living it.
I just want to make it clear that… Yes, I am… I am playing the role of the President of the United States.
I would much rather play the role of the President of the United States than be the President of the United States. So I’m happy in my lane.
Cena recently defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk in Saudi Arabia.
His match at SummerSlam will be against Cody Rhodes, who won the King of the Ring Tournament at Night of Champions.
