John Cena Appears At Wrestling School Owned By Cody Rhodes & QT Marshall (PHOTO)
John Cena made a surprise appearance at a wrestling school owned by WWE’s Cody Rhodes and AEW’s QT Marshall.
It was this past Monday on the March 6th edition of WWE Raw when John Cena made his triumphant return to Raw for the first time since June 2022.
During Cena’s appearance on Raw, he did an in-ring promo segment with Austin Theory that led to Theory challenging Cena to a match at WrestleMania 39 for Theory’s US Title. While Cena didn’t accept right away, he eventually would after trashing Theory for thinking he’s ready for a match like this while Cena believes Theory isn’t ready for it.
After Cena walked toward the backstage area, he stopped before going to the back. That’s where John Cena introduced Cody Rhodes to the crowd as somebody that is ready for the WrestleMania stage (unlike Theory). Cody and Cena hugged while Cena also raised Cody’s hand as an endorsement of sorts.
Throughout his career, Cody Rhodes has talked about his admiration for Cena as a mentor since Cody was a travel partner of Cena’s for many years. This is what Cody said about Cena in an interview back in February.
“John’s the ultimate role model as far as how he conducted himself, whether it was with the media, with the fans, the good fans, the more unruly fans, everything. He is the ultimate role model. Before he became a bus guy, I got to drive him around a little bit, and he was just talking. I was, in my mind, just writing everything down that he was saying.”
“He was really invaluable as a person to be around. I’m so blown away by how he’s doing and what he’s doing. I think if you try to copy what he did… everyone’s gotta do it their own way. I think my style if I ever was to be somebody that was a locker room leader, would just be to lead by example.”
Cody’s friendship also led to John Cena appearing as the guest speaker at the Nightmare Factory training center that Cody runs along with AEW’s QT Marshall. The Nightmare Factory posted a photo of Cena with a lot of the students training to wrestle. QT Marshall is in the photo (in a blue shirt and hat) while Cody Rhodes is not in it.

While John Cena faces Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 on April 1st or 2nd, Cody Rhodes will be in the main event of WrestleMania 39 as he challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
