John Cena and WWE are ready to cash in on his comeback.
On August 21st, Ryan Satin reported that John Cena is on his way back to WWE for an appearance on the September 1st episode of SmackDown in Hershey, PA. In addition, he will be headed overseas with the company when they present the Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad, India on September 8th.
Speculation immediately began over whether Cena would be wrestling at either event or whether he would simply be making an appearance. Now, that speculation is put to rest as Cena himself took to social media to confirm that he’ll be wrestling in India for the first time in his decades-long career.
“Cannot wait to reunite with the @WWE family live on #Smackdown ! Especially excited to meet the #WWE Universe in India and wrestle for the FIRST TIME EVER in [India]! The time is NOW…. C U all VERY soon!!! @WWE @WWEIndia”
John Cena rocking new swag for WWE comeback
Now WWE shop is advertising a new range of John Cena merchandise that is available ahead of his return to the company with a sky blue and orange theme.
While the Superstar Spectacle is set to be a big show for WWE in India, a new report suggests that selling tickets for the event is not the company’s priority.
