John Cena Allegedly Ashamed Of Embarrassing WWE Loss

John Cena on WWE Raw

John Cena’s final WWE run has seen its ups and downs. However, there is one defeat that is never spoken about.

During the course of his Farewell Tour, The Champ delivered several successes. However, his heel turn is looked upon as a massive failure despite his fans actually enjoying certain moments of it.

On the other hand, Cena broke the world championship record and also became a Grand Slam Champion.

John Cena does not talk about the one big defeat

Brock Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2025 and F5’d Cena. Following that, John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar was booked for Wrestlepalooza.

Given that it was a match of the titans and The Champ’s final run, the expectation was that Cena would dominate The Beast. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena with multiple suplexes and F5s within a matter of 10 minutes.

Jim Cornette questioned the booking on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru and why the Grand Slam Champion has never brought up the annihilation at the hands of Brock Lesnar, knowing that fans had criticized the match.

I’m astonished that even in character, as the young folks say, that John Cena has just never referred to the fact that Brock Lesnar just came out (and) just beat him like he f**king owed him money…And he doesn’t want to get even before he fades off in the sunset? He’s embarrassed, ashamed, he’s never going to mention it again. That strikes me as so odd.

John Cena has been announced for next week’s episode of WWE RAW emanating from Madison Square Garden. This will be The Champ’s final RAW of his career. Furthermore, he is set to break a record for the most number of matches on WWE RAW.
