Jey Uso Confirms Popular Catchphrase Is Back

Jey Uso

Jey Uso has seemingly confirmed the return of his popular ‘yeet’ catchphrase.

The 38-year old Superstar had been using the phrase in recent weeks, both in interviews and on official merchandise, but all use ground to a halt suddenly in early December with popular X user WrestleVotes revealing that WWE had run into copyright issues.

It was later revealed that the term had been copyrighted in 2021 by Virginia-based independent wrestler Kasey Huffman, with WWE dropping it’s use of the catchphrase and even blurring it’s image on television programming.

It would appear, however, that an agreement has been reached between both parties with Uso once again sporting the t-shirt carrying the slogan at a WWE Live Event in Utica, New York on 9th December 2023.

Jey Uso Names Two Men He Believes Could Defeat Roman Reigns

The ten-time former WWE Tag Team Champion has been enjoying the most notable singles run of his main roster career in recent weeks.

Uso was traded to Raw in September 2023 after departing The Bloodline and SmackDown following his unsuccessful attempt to pry the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion away from Roman Reigns at SummerSlam on 5th August.

Despite his own lack of success, Uso recently named two Superstars that he felt could dethrone Reigns, who has sat atop the WWE mountain for almost 1200 days.
