Janel Grant Claims Vince McMahon Used Attorney To Make Problematic People “Go Away”
Janel Grant and Vince McMahon’s lawsuit has garnered significant attention since it first came to light.
After Grant filed the lawsuit, The Big Man resigned from TKO’s Board of Directors and even sold off his remaining WWE shares. After severing ties with the company, Vince McMahon was rarely seen in public.
However, since last year, McMahon has made public appearances while the lawsuit has continued to move forward.
Janel Grant made a claim about Vince McMahon in the lawsuit
On April 1, 2026, Grant filed a memorandum to curb WWE and The Big Man’s efforts to send the case to private arbitration. She challenged that the NDA she signed should not hold up, and she should be allowed to take the case to open court. Having the NDA hold up is one of the key defenses in the case for Vince McMahon.
In the current filings, conversations and statements that were exchanged when she was in talks with Vince McMahon for her WWE employment have surfaced. One such statement claims that The Big Man had hinted at having a lawyer who made problematic people go away.
Around this time, Vince mentioned that he had an attorney, Jerry McDevitt, on speed dial who was the best at making problems, including people who become problems, go away. [H/t: Ringside News]
If Janel Grant is able to have the court agree with her arguments about the NDA, she can take the fight to public court. However, if she cannot, it will move forward away from public scrutiny.
