Jake Roberts On Why Logan Paul Winning WWE Title Would Be “The Worst Thing”

WWE legend Jake Roberts has given his take on Logan Paul’s opportunity against Roman Reigns, and whilst he sees the plaudits feels there’s no way he should walk out with the title.

After Roman Reigns appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast, the YouTube star claimed he could defeat ‘The Head Of The Table’ and claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, which has led to the pair being signed for a match at Crown Jewel.

The official challenge was laid down on the 16th September 2022 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, with the official press conference taking place the following day.

Speaking on his Snake Pit Podcast alongside DDP recently, Jake Roberts has given his opinion on how the match has been positioned. Whilst he can see the reasons why the match is happening, he feels Logan Paul has been fed with a silver spoon and that making him champion would be a bad decision.

This kid is being fed with a silver spoon. These things are being pushed out there for him. Yeah, he’s busting his ass, and he’s answering the bell ,and he’s doing all these things because he’s physical enough to do those things. He’s a performer, so that gives him another plus. But the worst thing that you can do to him right now would be to put him over. I think it would be the worst thing.

Jake Roberts continued, saying that this is a chance for Logan Paul to establish how good he is for his future in WWE.

I think if he puts up a good fight, maybe a couple steps above good, maybe a great fight, and shows perseverance, that sets the table better for him… Roman needs to walk out of there with that belt.

Logan Paul is currently undefeated in WWE, although that’s with only two impressive matches under his belt until this point. He defeated The Mysyerios alongside The Miz at WrestleMania 38, and then defeated his former partner at the subsequent SummerSlam.
