WWE recently announced its yearly cuts following WrestleMania 42, and we were in for a couple of huge surprises during the announcement. The promotion has been following up the ecstasy of WrestleMania with the lowest of lows for the last few years.

Many surprises popped up during this year’s releases as well, with the likes of Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, Kairi Sane, and Motor City Machine Guns, all being let go from the promotion. ,

A couple of days following the releases, main roster stars like JC Mateo and Tonga Loa were also on their way out, while legendary WWE tag team, The New Day, walked away from the promotion as well.

In a similar fashion to the last few years, the promotion cited budget cuts as the reason behind these releases. However, some were less surprising to the everyday fan, which included the Wyatt Sicks.

Wyatt Sicks star set for major post-WWE appearance

The group had one of the most memorable debuts of recent times when they appeared on WWE RAW and took out the entire roster in eerie fashion. However, they proved to be the only high point of the group as the promoter didn’t know how to book them.

It seems like at least one of the stars from the Wyatt Sicks, as Nikki Cross, who will revert to her former ring name, Nikki Storm, was recently announced for her first appearance since her WWE release.

PROGRESS Wrestling uploaded a post on its X channel, which announced Nikki’s first post-WWE appearance. They announced that Nikki Storm will be competing at Chapter 196: Scorchio on July 26th.

They also confirmed that her opponent will be revealed shortly, on a later date. Following her release from the Stamford-based promotion, she has to serve a 90-day non-compete period before appearing for another promotion. Fortunately enough, the date of PROGRESS Wrestling’s event falls just after her non-compete period.
