In early January, a SmackDown superstar informed the WWE Universe about having undergone neck surgery.

Elton Prince of the Pretty Deadly duo, alongside Kit Wilson, shared that he had taken a nasty bump in May 2025, which led to a difficult period healthwise that lasted 7 months.

The medical professionals were able to determine the root cause of the problem, after which he underwent a level 2 neck fusion.

Prince also promised to do his best in overcoming all obstacles standing between him and his return to the squared circle.

While there is no exact timeline as to when fans will see Elton Prince back in WWE, it can take anywhere from 12 to 18 months to regain full-contact activity.

The Stamford promotion also ensures that returning talents go through stringent rehabilitation, evaluations, and planning before they can return to TV.

Kit Wilson Provides Health Update On His WWE Partner

After weeks of absence from WWE taping, Kit Wilson returned to programming in the summer of 2025 as a singles competitor.

He was initially featured in backstage segments against the likes of Damian Priest and Carmelo Hayes, setting him on a path of anti-toxic masculinity mission.

He is currently involved in a feud with Matt Cardona, who returned to the company on January 2 after five years.

Wilson recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, where he gave a health update on his tag partner, Elton Prince.

He’s doing good. The surgery happened, and it’s nice that he was able to talk about the surgery because he’s quite a private person.

The surgery went well, and it’s been more than two weeks — everything’s on track so far — but it’s just a touch-and-go situation.

The 31-year-old said that since it was a neck issue, anything rushed can prove to be detrimental.

It’s the neck, so it’s such a specialist area, we’re taking it day by day. But he’s doing good, which is fantastic. It’s just a scary thing. [H/T: Ringside News]
