Gunther Enjoys Unusual In-Ring Reunion With WWE Partner
Gunther marked the headlines when he tapped out John Cena in The Champ’s final match. Now, he is being named for another potential retirement match.
Ever since The Ring General started operating solo, things have been different for him. He has to watch his own back and ensure that he secures every opportunity to keep the dominance going.
Recently, he met his former stablemate Kaiser in the ring. The German wrestler entered the ring as El Grande Americano against the former World Heavyweight Champion in a house show in Manheim.
During the match, the former Imperium members almost broke character and smiled at each other. However, the former champion promptly pulled himself back into character when Kaiser extended his hand, but Gunther denied the handshake and shook hands with the referee instead before starting the match.

Gunther defeated AJ Styles on WWE RAW
The Phenomenal One is supposedly retiring sometime in 2026. The exact timeline remains unknown.
Recently, The Ring General faced AJ Styles in a singles match, where he defeated Styles. However, there are claims that The Ring General tapped out against Styles, which the referee missed.
Given that Styles and Gunther’s rivalry has been established, it is likely that The Ring General can be Styles’ retirement match.
