A big name WWE superstar should be back on television very soon after missing nearly three months of action.

While there is no definitive date for when Drew McIntyre will return to WWE television, there are multiple outlets on his return to action coming very soon.

Earlier this week, World Wrestling Entertainment posted multiple videos of Drew McIntyre appearing at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany with McIntyre representing the company as a special ambassador that did his best to put smiles on people’s faces.

Following WrestleMania 39 when Drew competed in an incredible match with GUNTHER & Sheamus for the Intercontinental Title, the news came out that McIntyre might be unhappy in WWE. It has also been revealed that Drew’s WWE contract expires in early 2024 with no reports of a new deal signed yet.

For the past several weeks, there have been reports that World Wrestling Entertainment might bring back the Scottish Warrior for the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event on July 1st since it’s in London, England and with him being Scottish, he would receive a big reaction from that crowd.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had a brief update on McIntyre’s return.

“They (WWE) were hopeful of getting him to return for the 7/1 PPV show. Nothing is official at press time past they are discussing dates for a return but creative was not finalized at press time.”

Meanwhile, PWInsider Elite is reporting that “WWE sources indicate there are many in the company who believe Drew McIntyre will be back ‘in the mix’ by the UK tour and Money in the Bank.”

When Drew McIntyre does return to WWE TV, he will be part of the Raw brand because he was drafted there during the recent draft.
