AEW hosted its yearly television special in Australia tonight as Grand Slam aired live from Sydney, Australia. The show featured multiple title matches, including the TNT Championship, which only recently changed hands.

Former TNT Champion Mark Briscoe lost the title to recently debuted Tommaso Ciampa, who was then defeated by Kyle Fletcher this past week on Dynamite.

Briscoe then came out to challenge Fletcher for the TNT title at tonight’s show, and the match was made into a ladder match after Fletcher raised the stakes.

Mark Briscoe had a bloody night at AEW Grand Slam

The match was off to a brutal start as both wrestlers immediately went at it against each other. Both Fletcher and Briscoe had some hard-hitting spots throughout the match.

The match turned bloody after Fletcher threw Briscoe headfirst into the turnbuckle, where he had set up a steel chair, which had Briscoe split open and bleeding from the head.
