Massive AEW Title Changes Hands After A Brutal Match On Dynamite

AEW TNT Championship

AEW Dynamite was scheduled to host two major title matches tonight, with both the TNT Championship and the AEW Women’s World Championship set to be defended on the show.

The opening match of the night saw the Death Riders pick up the win over the Don Callis Family, as they took revenge for their loss from last week’s episode of Dynamite.

The second match of the night saw the TNT Championship defended on the show as the newly crowned champion, Tommaso Ciampa, faced Kyle Fletcher for the title.

Kyle Fletcher regains his title on AEW Dynamite

The match began with Don Callis sitting on commentary on Fletcher’s request, as the Protostar stated earlier in the night that he wanted to win the title back on his own.

Their match was off to a pacy start with the two men getting right into action from the opening minute of the bout. Ciampa took control of the match after a bit as he proceeded to thrash Fletcher on the outside as Lance Archer looked on from ringside.

Fletcher came back into the match as he targeted Ciampa’s neck after damaging it with a German Suplex on the outside. Momentum kept changing hands between the two competitors, making the outcome extremely difficult to predict.

The Protostar came extremely close to winning the belt after a super back suplex and followed that up with a Liger Bomb, but Ciampa kicked out just in the nick of time, before denying Fletcher once again as he kicked out of a massive brainbuster.

An extremely hard-hitting match finally came to an end minutes before the time limit as Fletcher took out Ciampa with a Michunoku Driver and followed it up a lariat and a third brainbuster to seal the win.
