There were some former WWE superstars backstage at recent TNA tapings.

The rebirth of TNA Wrestling is off and running following the company’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view in Las Vegas followed by tapings the next night. Several WWE stars were released by the company in September 2023 and they had to wait 90 days before they could appear in another company. Now that the 90 days are up, some of those wrestlers have chosen to work for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

At the Hard to Kill PPV, Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler in WWE) made his debut for the company when he confronted TNA World Champion Moose and dropped the champion with the Danger Zone move that used to be called the Zig Zag. Nemeth’s first TNA promo aired on Impact as well.

The former WWE superstar known as Dana Brooke also debuted in the company as Ash By Elegance. There was a video about her on Impact as well.

Total Nonstop Action is also the home of the Grizzled Young Vets tag team of James Drake & Zack Gibson. They used to be The Dyad in WWE on the NXT brand. They actually weren’t fired by WWE, but chose to move on when their deals expired.

Former WWE Tag Team At TNA Tapings

There was another set of TNA tapings in Orlando on January 19th and there will be more tapings on January 20th as well.

It was reported by Fightful Select that Mace & Mansoor, the former Maximum Male Models in WWE, were backstage at the TNA tapings. Fightful added that they have not been told if they will be appearing on camera at the Total Nonstop Action tapings or if they were just there visiting.

Fightful also noted that NJPW regular Alex Zayne was backstage at the show as well.
