A female WWE talent has earned high praise after being compared to Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

Roxanne Perez made her debut on WWE’s main roster in 2025 after competing for three years in NXT, where she became a 2-time Women’s Champion.

She joined Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling (ROW), making her professional wrestling debut under the name Rok-C in 2018.

Speaking with Zack Heydorn of Sports Illustrated, the WWE Hall of Famer recollected Perez’s formative years training in his wrestling promotion.

You know, she came to fantasy camp. The camp that I do is a five-hour camp, normally on a Sunday afternoon. goes from noon to five, and she was like a little bit, she was like not even as big as my daughter, literally, but she was so astute to professional wrestling at such a young age, and she’s my youngest female Reality Of Wrestling champion, at 16 years old.

He noticed gumption in her, which he believed would take her places.

I spotted something in Roxanne immediately. I said, man, there’s something about her. She wanted it more. She wanted it more, and more importantly, she took to the training and really took those training sessions and made them real to her towards now. She’s not the biggest dog in the fight, but when she’s in the fight, you don’t realize it.

WWE Legend Was Impressed By Roxanne Perez’s Commitment

Booker T was left impressed by Roxanne’s steadfastness, as he highlighted her commitment to achieving personal goals, a quality similar to Shawn Michaels.

You go, man, she’s a pit bull. She will bite you in a heartbeat. No, seriously. So for me, she learned how to make herself bigger than she actually really is. You know, Shawn Michaels, he was like that. Shawn Michaels wasn’t the biggest guy in the room, but you thought Shawn Michaels was 6’3 and 225 pounds.

But that was the illusion, and that’s the illusion of professional wrestling, trying to take something and maximize it as much as you possibly can, and that’s what Roxanne Perez has done. She’s taken what she’s got and she’s maximized it. She’s smart. She’s smarter than most in the room, and that’s what’s going to get you to the next level. [H/T: Fightful]

On the main roster, she became a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion after replacing Liv Morgan, who got injured during a match. Perez will next be seen at the Women’s Royal Rumble match on January 31.
