Ex-WWE Star Now Under Contract With AEW
One former WWE star has now officially moved on in their career as they have signed with AEW.
Despite success in NXT and being promoted to SmackDown, Hit Row was released just weeks after their main roster debut in 2021. B-Fab was the first to be let go, and two weeks later, Top Dolla (AJ Francis), Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (Swerve Strickland) were also released.
The group were eventually brought back to WWE – minus Swerve Strickland, who had since joined AEW to great success. But the second time around was not much better, with B-Fab now the only member of the group still with the company. However, she has not won a singles match in her second stint, which might indicate her place on the roster.
Ashante Adonis Signed Up By AEW After WWE Deal Ends
Fightful Select has now reported that Tehuti Miles, the man once known as Ashante “Thee” Adonis in WWE, is now under an AEW contract. Miles is said to have signed with Tony Khan as far back as the first week of September 2025, but his first in-ring outing as part of that deal came on the March 1st Ring of Honor tapings.
Miles’ contract with WWE expired on August 10th, and he signed with Tony Khan just a matter of a few weeks later. It was noted that there was some surprise that he did not compete on the independent scene before making the jump to AEW. AEW is also said to be very measured in recent times in terms of which stars they pick up after their time in WWE comes to an end.
