Ex-WWE Star Makes Shock Return After 4 Years
A former WWE star has made his return to the company after four years, as one brand gets ready to go home.
NXT Homecoming is just around the corner, with WWE’s third brand returning to its former home of Full Sail University on September 16th. DIY had already returned to the brand where they made their name to confront Trick Williams, with Williams promising to have a name from NXT’s past to help him fight off the former NXT Tag Team Champions.
But now another old face has returned, and fans were left even more shocked, given this star had not been on the WWE roster in four years.
Tyler Breeze Returns To WWE
On the September 9th edition of NXT, the dreaded flag match returned to WWE as Tavion Heights battled Ethan Page for their respective nation’s pride. Heights won the bout, and after the match, Tyler Breeze made his surprise return, lying next to a downed Page while taking selfies with him.
This set up Breeze to challenge Ethan Page for his NXT North American Championship on the Full Sail show.
Breeze was last seen in a WWE ring back in 2021 as one half of the Breezango tag team along with Fandango. Both men were let go by the company that same year. That run was a return to the NXT roster for Breeze, who initially made his name in the company on that brand with a memorable run from 2013 to 2015.
During his time in NXT, Breeze shared the ring with the likes of Adrian Neville, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and even WWE Hall of Famer Jushin Thunder Liger.
