A former champion in WWE has signalled that they are completely done with wrestling despite being just 31.

Nhooph Al-Areebi — better known to WWE fans as Aliyah — appears to be signalling a significant shift away from professional wrestling.

Taking to social media, Al-Areebi announced that she’s getting rid of everything associated with her career and wrestling:

Getting rid of everything wrestling-related — action figures, gear, boots, you name it. DM me if you’re looking for anything specific.

The move sparked widespread speculation among wrestling fans about the future of the 31-year-old Canadian’s career, with many interpreting the comprehensive sell-off as a clear sign she may be retiring from the industry.

What Did Aliyah Achieve In WWE?

Al-Areebi first signed with WWE in 2015 after competing on Tough Enough, spending several years in NXT before joining the main roster. During her tenure with WWE, she captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Raquel Rodriguez in 2022.

Her WWE run was interrupted by injury. She suffered an elevated rib and AC sprain that kept her off television later in 2022, and she was released by WWE in 2023 after more than a year away from the ring.

Since her departure, Al-Areebi’s appearances in the ring have been limited. She wrestled only two matches for the Canadian independent promotion Destiny Wrestling, with her last bout being a defence of the Destiny women’s title in February 2025.
