Ex-WWE Champion Looks Completely Unrecognizable 20 Years After Release
A former WWE star looks completely different two decades after his last appearance in the Stamford-based company.
Heidenreich initially signed a developmental contract with the Stamford-based company in 2001. Nevertheless, he was released later that same year.
In 2003, the Louisiana native returned to the promotion. His second run lasted three years, during which he held the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Road Warrior Animal for 94 days in 2005.
Twenty years ago, Heidenreich was released from his contract again. Over the next 12 years, the 56-year-old wrestled on the independent circuit before retiring in 2018.
How Does The Former WWE Star Look Like Today?
Heidenreich has been off the radar for several years. A fan recently posted on Facebook about a conversation he had with the former WWE Tag Team Champion, during which the latter introduced himself and told him that he had wrestled The Undertaker and The Rock and used to hang out with Triple H and Trish Stratus.
The fan also posted a photo with Heidenreich, where the former superstar looked almost unrecognizable.
So I’m at work last week and there is an older gentleman stocking, we would always say “hey” in passing , the other day he was like “did you ever watch WWE?”
I was like “as matter of fact I used to watch it all the time”
Then dude said “Yeah, I used to be a wrestler, I’ve wrestled The Undertaker, Booker T, Steven Regal, The Rock, I met Steve Austin at his debut match, Used to hang out with Triple H and Trish Stratus”
Like…… “Wait …… What?!” Your kidding right
……. Dude was in fact……. Not kidding
One of the nicest most humble people I’ve met in a while
( I bought his action figure and had him sign it and pose for a picture with me, you could tell it made him happy to be able to be in the spotlight again and things like that make me happy, plus now I can say I’ve been put in a headlock by a professional wrestler lmao )
Edit: his wrestling name was Heidenreich
