Ex-WWE Chamipon Open To Return In Specific Role
A former WWE Champion revealed that they might consider a comeback, however, only as a manager.
Melina Perez is a multi-time Women’s and Divas Champion during her time in the company between 2004 and 2011.
Melina was renowned for her athleticism, which was seen even before she entered the ring. She was able to use her flexibility to come into the ring unlike any other superstar on the roster, which would include performing a split on the ring apron and then sliding from under the rope.
Perez also had an arsenal full of maneuvers that she would use to neutralize her opponents. At one point, she even earned praise for being “one of the best wrestlers in the world” from Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart.
But before she became a full-time wrestler, Melina was a manager of the WWE faction MNM, alongside Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury.
Like Melina, the men in the group were famous for their range of offensive and aerial maneuvers, becoming a 3-time tag team champions.
Former WWE Star Melina Perez Open To Return As Manager
Melina’s last WWE appearance was on the August 1, 2011, episode of Raw, where she competed in a #1 contender’s battle royal match, which was ultimately won by Beth Phoenix.
She subsequently competed in the independent circuit and made sporadic appearances in the Stamford promotion later on.
While speaking on the Going Ringside podcast, she was asked if she would consider returning to WWE in the present day.
Admitting that the environment in the company seemed much better than when she was a full-time wrestler, she said she would accept, but only in the role of a manager, plus she would also need to know what came with the contract.
As a manager it would be a yay, but I’d need to know more. Honestly, it’s kind of like, okay, what comes with the contract?
Melina was last seen attending the Evolution PLE in 2025.
