Ex-AEW Champion Breaks Silence On WWE Move

Tony Khan AEW

A former champion in AEW has given the clearest insight into why he’s made the move to WWE.

The man once known as Powerhouse Hobbs has arrived in WWE under his new moniker of Royce Keys. The former AEW Trios Champion made his debut at the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, where he managed to eliminate former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest before he was dispatched by Bronson Reed.

Keys worked in AEW until the very last day of his contract in Tony Khan’s company, losing the Trios Title in his final bout to Hangman Adam Page and JetSpeed. But Keys isn’t looking back to what might have been.

Royce Keys Only Focusing On WWE Future After AEW Exit

In a video released by WWE showing Keys before and after his appearance in the Rumble, the star noted that he’s not in the business of looking back:

I’m a believer that things happen, like the universe plays out everything. So you don’t want to have any regrets, you know? I personally don’t like looking back at things in life. I don’t like second-guessing myself or what if I done this? Maybe I should have done that, what if, you know? So everything lined up and made sense to be here.
