Drew McIntyre’s Ex-Partner Would Return To WWE Under One Condition

Drew McIntyre With WWE Title

A former tag team partner of Drew McIntyre would be happy to return to WWE, but only under one condition.

Drew McIntyre might now walk alone as WWE Champion, but the star has been known to work well with others on occasion, holding tag team gold at various stages of his career with the likes of Wade Barrett, Johnny Gargano, Chuck Taylor, Dolph Ziggler, and even Cody Rhodes.

However, when thinking of McIntyre’s in-ring partners, the first names that come to mind are his brothers in 3MB, Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal.

Heath Slater Open To Drew McIntyre Reunion

Appearing on Developmentally Speaking, Heath Slater explained that if WWE ever called up to put the band back together with McIntyre, he’d be on board on condition that he be taken care of with a role outside of the ring:

If WWE ever called and said, ‘Hey man, Drew McIntyre needs some help. We need to bring the band back together,’ I’d be like, ‘Hell yeah, baby. Sign me for about a year or two.’ But I’d follow it up with, ‘After that, could I be an agent or a trainer or something? Maybe help some of these kids out a little bit.’

I’m not at the bottom of the ninth inning, but I’m definitely at the bottom of the eighth. I know that for a fact. But I feel good. I’m still in shape. I’m going out there and still having fun. And like I’ve been saying, I probably have a good handful of years left in the ring after that, brother.
