Dominik Mysterio Barely Survives Rusev & Penta At WWE SNME

Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio retained his Intercontinental Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Mysterio captured the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41. He has since found different ways to defend the title multiple times against Penta successfully.

Another superstar who has been chasing Mysterio is Rusev. The 39-year-old challenged The Judgment Day member twice for the championship, but failed to win the title thanks to Dirty Dom’s tricks.

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce then informed the 28-year-old champion that he would defend his title against both Penta and Rusev at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Dominik Mysterio Pins Rusev To Retain The WWE Intercontinental Championship

Tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the three superstars clashed in a hard-hitting battle. It saw Rusev hit Penta with the Machka Kick and then put him in the Accolade. As the Bulgarian star heard the bell ring, he thought he had won the championship by forcing the Mexican star to submit.

However, it turned out to be Dominik Mysterio who was ringing the bell. As the match continued, Dirty Dom brought the bell hammer into the ring to seemingly use it on Penta. The latter got hold of it and attempted to hit the champion with it, but hit Rusev instead after Dirty Dom ducked.

After throwing Penta into the ring post, The Judgment Day member delivered a frog splash to a knocked-out Rusev to steal another victory and again retain his title.
